Nesting tables


Unlikely to be repeated, this very special set of three tables made the absolute most of this glorious spalted beech I've had in my timber stash over the past few years. It came from two beech trees located in Nunhead cemetery in south London that I was fortunate to gain access to and have planked up before they were reduced to worm fodder. 

These were commissioned by a local customer, who asked for a black milk paint finish for the ash legs to provide a striking contrast to the beech tops. The result is

These were made to commission using some one-off timber. Although I'm nearly at the end of this beech, the design lives on and there will be equally jaw-dropping pieces of timber out there if you'd like to commission something similar.
