The Welsh stick chair is the vernacular style of Windsor chair that evolved west of the border. The style is often described as primitive, but I've always been hugely inspired by the simple but beautiful sculptural forms that can be achieved with this type of chair.

This is a special piece made with an elm seat and steam-bent elm arm bow. The rest is in ash, with a tooled, textured finish.
